FACTS

I Agreed with what Atiku Abubakar is putting forward here...it makes sense. Nigeria Cannot Afford Luxuries During an Austerity.  It is to my consternation that despite the crash in the price of oil, and the inability of Nigeria to expand our revenue base through the non-oil sector, the Federal Government of Nigeria has only seen fit to slash our budget by a mere 0.6%, from ₦10.594 trillion to ₦ 10.523 trillion. This represents a reduction of only  ₦71 billion.  Putting politics aside, this is grossly insufficient and betrays the fact we have lost touch with the current realities in the global political economy.  For the avoidance of doubt, when this budget was presented to the National Assembly on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, it was predicated on a projection that our nation would generate crude oil production of 2.18 million barrels a day, at an expected oil price of $57 per barrel.  Today that is no longer the case. Both our production, and the price of oil have been severel

APOLOGIZE OVER USE OF ABUSIVE WORDS- HON. COMMISSIONER OF INFORMATION PLATEAU STATE

A SPECIAL PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT  - AN APOLOGY. You will recall that in the course of the week,  I issued an announcement  with respect to the flagrant disregard to government order by the public with regards to the Presidential Order imposing a curfew on the country between the hours of 8.00 p.m. and 6.00 a.m. of each day.  Furthermore,  the statement reminded the public of the mandatory need to wear masks failure of which the security  agents saddled which such enforcement were called upon to deal ruthlessly with the  situation.  It has come to my notice that the choice of word "ruthlessly" has not gone down well with the public,  more so with the current gory happenings in the state.  I had made a correction on the statement replacing the word "ruthlessly" with "strictly " but regret that the corrected script did not get the wide circulation the  first one did. It is in this light therefore,   that I apologise for the use of the word ruthlessly
