PLATEAU STATE WITNESSES 10 CORONA VIRUS RECOVERIES


The Plateau State Government is informing the general public that most  patients infected with the Corona Virus are recovering, as 10 patience out of 21 cases recorded in Plateau State were discharged on Friday 15th May 2020.

The State Commissioner for Health Dr. Nimkong Lar disclosed this while addressing newsmen in Jos.
“We have 21 infected cases and out of the 21, 11 patients have been discharged”.

The Commissioner who spoke alongside the Secretary to the Government of the State, Prof Danladi Atu, and Commissioner for information Dan Manjang, said they patients were discharged after testing negative twice.
Plateau State now having 11 active cases of Covid-19 which are responding beautifully well  to treatments, recorded only one case of Covid- 19 yesterday as against the five cases announced by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), as four of the results were repeated by the agency”, the Health Commissioner said.

Jat HotNews correspondent reports that, Plateau has 96 pending results waiting to be confirmed either positive or negative and still has 255 persons admitted in various isolation centers across the State.
 
The Commissioner concluded in advising the general public that Corona Virus is not a death sentence, in as much as people suffering are also recovering, the Public should adhere strictly to Government rules inorder to contain the spread, Avoid gatherings, always use a face mask, and lastly maintain good hygiene.
