NIGERIA GETS YOUNGEST PERMANENT SECRETARY AS PRESIDENT BUHARI APPROVES APPOINTMENT OF DR. IBRAHIM KANA Today, President Muhammadu Buhari appointed Dr Ibrahim Abubakar Kana to serve as Permanent Secretary in the Federal Civil Service.  Dr Kana, who hails from Nasarawa State, is currently a participant of the Senior Executive Course 43 of the nation’s apex think tank, the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru-Jos.    As Permanent Secretary, Kana will deepen and bring to bear sparkling brilliance and excellence that he has expended since joining the civil service in 2007 as a young Medical Doctor and Consultant Ophthalmologist. Reported to be exceptionally hardworking and thorough, feelers have it that, his appointment signals a new vista for the emergence of new generation of Permanent Secretaries with a fresh level of thoughts and ideas common to prevailing reality. PLATEAU STATE GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES ADJUSTMENTS TO RESUMPTION DATES FOR SCHOOLS IN THE STATE. The plateau state ministry of higher Education has announced resumption date for all Tertiary institutions in the state.  Commissioner of the ministry Kakmena Goteng Audu in a  statement to that effect disclosed that tertiary institutions are to resume on the 18th of January 2021 inline with the position of the federal government Presidential task force on COVID 19. The commissioner directs all heads of tertiary institutions in the state to comply strictly to the resumption date and to also ensure that they adhere strictly to COVID 19 protocols already Established by government. Similarly the  ministry of secondary Education has reversed its  earlier announced date of resumption for primary and secondary schools in the state.  A statement which conveys the adjustment reveals that contrary to the earlier announced date of 4th of January 2021, the new date of resumption is the 18th of
