HIS. EXCELLENCY. RT. HON. BARR. SIMON BAKO LALONG INSPECTS BORDER CLOSURE AT RIYOM LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA.

His. Excellency, The Executive Governor Plateau State Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong inspects boundary routes in Riyom LGA.

While interacting with security agents, he expressed displeasure over the fact that the orders issued by the State and Federal Governments are not being carried out effectively as people still enter the State despite the closure order.

For us here in Riyom, we are making sure that the implementation is duly carried out and illegal routes are also monitored effectively.

The Governor was also at the Riyom General Hospital, which has been designated as a treatment centre for COVID-19 to asses the facility and was briefed by the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Nimkong Lar.

We will continue to do our best in ensuring that such compromises we have experienced end immediately.

I encourage all citizens of Riyom LGA to keep adhering to all safety measures please and report all suspicious movements to their community leaders who will communicate to us directly.
