PIDAN CAUTIONS CITIZENS Plateau Initiative for Development and Advancement of the Natives, PIDAN, has called on the people of the State to remain steadfast and calm in the face of continued incidences of attacks on some communities by bandits. GOVERNOR MUTFWANG APPLAUDS TRIBUNAL RULING IN HIS FAVOR, SAYS IT IS A VALIDATION OF THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE Plateau State Governor, Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has hailed the verdict of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, which ruled in his favor following a petition by Alfred Clark Dabwang, the candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the March, 18th 2023, Governorship election. The judgement  read by Hon. Justice A. Y. Joh, dismissed the petition filed by the NNPP candidate, who alleged the exclusion of his party's logo.  The tribunal confirmed Governor Caleb Mutfwang as the duly elected Governor of Plateau State. Reacting to the judgement, Governor Mutfwang, described it as a validation of the people's will in Plateau State and expressed his confidence in the upcoming judgements. PLATEAU GOVERNORSHIP  TRIBUNAL DISMISSED ALFRED DABWAN OF THE NNPP’S PETITION AGAINST  CALEB MUTFWANG, AWARDED N1.5m COST AGAINST PETITIONERS  By Justin Jattim  The  Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting at the premises of the Plateau State High Court Jos on Monday 11th September, 2023 dismissed the Petition filed by Alfred Dabwan and his party, the NNPP against Barr Caleb Mutfwang of the PDP  Jat HotNews recalled that the NNPP, the Petitioners approached the Tribunal seeking the nullification of the March 18, 2023 Governoship Election which INEC declared and returned Barr. Caleb Mutfwang for unlawful exclusion of logo of NNPP by INEC in the ballot. The  vicinity of the Court was  cordoned by security operatives as the Governor and appointees of his Government as well as members of the PDP and the NNPP populated the tribunal to listen to the judgement.
