CONSTRUCTION OF KANAM ICT CENTER IN PROGRESS. Below is the picture of the ongoing construction work of the kanam ICT CENTER initiated by the Makwakass Rural Re-engineering Projects(MRRP) Phase ll in Kanam LGA, Plateau State. The ICT CENTER when completed will be used as a JAMB CENTER for prospective candidates seeking admission in to institutions of higher learning. The gigantic project is situated inside Kanam LGC Secretariat, Dengi. The proposed JAMB CENTER has the capacity of accommodating over one thousand users at a time. PLATEAU STATE GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES ADJUSTMENTS TO RESUMPTION DATES FOR SCHOOLS IN THE STATE. The plateau state ministry of higher Education has announced resumption date for all Tertiary institutions in the state.  Commissioner of the ministry Kakmena Goteng Audu in a  statement to that effect disclosed that tertiary institutions are to resume on the 18th of January 2021 inline with the position of the federal government Presidential task force on COVID 19. The commissioner directs all heads of tertiary institutions in the state to comply strictly to the resumption date and to also ensure that they adhere strictly to COVID 19 protocols already Established by government. The Northern Governors Forum has condoled with former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso over the death of his father Alhaji Musa Saleh, District Head of Madobi. THREE UN PEACE KEEPER KILLED IN CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC Three UN peacekeepers have been killed by unidentified combatants in the Central African Republic, the United Nations said, as the country prepares for a general election and fighting continues between rebels and government forces. PPA WISHES DABANG SPEEDY RECOVERY  Plateau Publishers Association (PPA) is wishing the Plateau State interim chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Letep Dabang, speedy recovery from  asymptomatic infection of the second wave of the Covid-19.  Chairman of the association, Shabul Mazadu, said PPA is elated with the recovery of Governor Simon Lalong, who tested negative Wednesday night after being in isolation for a week. DSS MEASURES FOR A PEACEFUL YULETIDE

DSS UNCOVERS PLOT TO BOMB PLACES AT YULETIDE Nigerians have been called upon to be very vigilant during the yuletide as the Department of State Services (DSS) has raised an alarm that it had uncovered plots by some criminal elements who plan to carry out violent attacks on public places including key and vulnerable points during the yuletide.  The intelligence agency added that the criminals planned to use explosives, suicide bombers and other dangerous weapons. In a statement made available Tuesday night by spokesperson of the agency, Peter Afunaya, said the objective of the criminals as obtained by the agency is to create a general sense of fear among the people and subsequently undermine the Government. PLATEAU STATE APC CHAIRMAN, LETEP DABANG TESTS POSITIVE TO COVID-19. Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Plateau State,Hon Letep Dabang has tested positive to the corona virus. Disclosing his status Letep Dabang said the results of the test he underwent a couple of days back returned yesterday and it is positive. Though at an asymptomatic stage,the APC Chairman has already gone into self isolation while treatment has also commenced on him in line with all COVID-19 protocols.
