LET PEACE REIGN IN THE LAND "I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the World you will have tribulation. But take heart, I have overcome the world." *John 16:33*  To my good people of Plateau State, indeed the dark days are here again, as the unfolding events that led to the loss of lives and property have shaken our solid foundation as a Home of Peace and Tourism.  I am using this singular opportunity to appeal to the conscience of our core existence as a people to embrace peace, humanness and tolerance in this trying period.  The sad event of the recent past, where innocent souls have perished is highly condemnable and unpardonable by any right thinking individual, organisation and Government.  Although, the numerous security challenges confronting the Nation are enormous, it is surmountable if deliberate efforts are made by our security Agencies and government who are bestowed with the responsibility of protecting lives and property of every Nig

THE STATE OF DETERIORATING SECURITY ON THE PLATEAU- NMA PLATEAU STATE

THE STATE OF DETERIORATING SECURITY ON THE PLATEAU . The Plateau State Branch of the Nigerian Medical Association is saddened and disillusioned by the persistent and vicious acts of inhumanity currently ravaging the society and exerting a great toll on the physical and psychological wellbeing of the masses across the state. We express deep concern as the victims of these unwarranted attacks continue to populate our hospitals' emergency wards and mortuaries. The innocent, armless, accomodating and committed citizens of Plateau State have continued to live under the perennial unsavoury reality of perpetual terrorism manifesting as kidnappings for ransom, rape, maimings and killings as well as threats of total annihilation. CIRCULATION OF FAKE INFORMATION ABOUT UNIJOS

UNIVERSITY OF JOS  OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR  DISCLAIMER CIRCULATION OF FAKE INFORMATION ABOUT UNIJOS The attention of Management of the University of Jos has been drawn to fake information being circulated on some social media platforms purportedly conveying Management’s approval for the resumption of Second Semester Examinations and other Academic activities in the University by 30th August, 2021. It is quite obvious that the fake message is intended to misinform members of the University Community  especially our Students and Staff as well as the public given that it also falsely declared that the University will be reopened following an earlier closure. For the avoidance of doubt, Management’s decision (pending ratification by Senate of the University) did not  direct the School’s closure but the suspension of the Second Semester 2019/2020 Academic Session Examinations and other Academic activities in the University. The suspension remains in place until further  NOTICE Management

These innocent and harmless journalists who were in a branded vehicle that was conveying them from night duty to their respective homes at about 10:30pm on the 17th of August at the close of work did no one any harm. THE LOUD SILENCE OF PLATEAU'S ELITES

THE LOUD SILENCE OF PLATEAU'S ELITES by Fadip Kwamkur (Qwamie) The SELECTION to usher in a new decision-making team for Plateau State is brewing and it has thus far served what I describe a culmination of a decent lineup for the highly coveted seat in the State, this assertion is in cognizance to the quality cum Resume' of these Individuals drawn from a wide spectrum is an array of experienced and successful individuals from different backgrounds, it will be fair to say these personalities have been shining stars in their areas of career and profession.  On the flipside, Plateau has been a field of obnoxious killings in the past decades and the actions and inactions of the ELITIST sons and daughters of this blessed state have continually betrayed the generation it will leave behind by maintaining a position which one would best describe as that of COWARDICE. I observe with pain how even persons who desire  to lead maintain a very "LOUD SILENCE", could this be that th
