LANGTANG SOUTH APC YOUTHS VANGUARD ENDORSES MUTFWANG AND NAPOLEON BALI FOR 2027 ELECTIONS

A leading youth-based political pressure group operating under the platform of the Langtang South APC Youths Vanguard has formally endorsed His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, for the Plateau State Governorship, and Distinguished Senator AVM (Rtd.) Napoleon Binkap Bali for the Plateau South Senatorial seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement, which followed extensive grassroots consultations, reflects the collective resolve of APC youths across the wards of Langtang South Local Government Area to support credible, tested, and people-oriented leadership capable of advancing development, unity, and good governance in Plateau State.

The declaration was made during a well-attended but modest gathering held on Sunday at the Mabudi Town Hall, where representatives of various APC youth formations converged to deliberate on the political direction of the local government ahead of the next electoral cycle. The meeting, described by participants as purposeful and historic, focused on identifying leaders whose records align with the aspirations of the younger generation.

Addressing members at the event, one of the Coordinators of the group, Comrade Vongbut Nanngwa, explained that the endorsement was not based on sentiment or personal loyalty, but on objective assessment of leadership performance, accessibility, and commitment to grassroots development. He noted that the youths conducted wide consultations within communities, wards, and party structures before arriving at a unanimous decision.

According to him, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has distinguished himself through inclusive governance, responsiveness to citizens, and a clear developmental vision that prioritizes peace, justice, and institutional rebuilding. The group maintained that his leadership style has restored confidence in governance and strengthened unity across Plateau State, making him the most qualified and dependable candidate to continue piloting the affairs of the state.

The youths further commended the Governor’s openness to youth participation, capacity building, and community engagement, describing him as a leader who listens and governs with empathy. They expressed optimism that a renewed mandate would enable him to consolidate ongoing reforms and deliver greater dividends of democracy to the people.

In the same vein, the group unanimously endorsed Distinguished Senator AVM (Rtd.) Napoleon Binkap Bali as their preferred candidate for the Plateau South Senatorial seat. They described him as a disciplined patriot, seasoned administrator, and accomplished professional whose background in national service equips him with rare leadership depth.

The youths emphasized that Senator Napoleon Bali’s vast military experience, strategic exposure, and understanding of national security, governance, and international relations would greatly strengthen legislative debates and effective representation for Plateau South in the National Assembly. They further noted his longstanding commitment to humanitarian service, peacebuilding, and community support across the zone.

The motion endorsing the two leaders was formally moved by Comrade Kumven Nathaniel and seconded by Comrade David Dangfa, after which members present adopted it unanimously amid expressions of solidarity and renewed commitment.

The Langtang South APC Youths Vanguard pledged to actively mobilize at the grassroots, engage in voter education, and promote peaceful political participation as part of their contribution to the success of the party in 2027. They stressed that their involvement is driven by the desire to enthrone accountable leadership and strengthen democratic values within the APC.

In their closing remarks, the group called on party stakeholders, traditional leaders, women groups, and well-meaning citizens of Plateau State to rally behind the endorsed candidates in the interest of stability, progress, and sustainable development. They reaffirmed their belief that with unity of purpose and credible leadership, Plateau State will continue on the path of peace, growth, and inclusive governance.
