SENATOR LALONG MOURNS LATE DR. GODFREY BAWA & CONDOLES ALKALI FAMILY OVER DEATH OF BARR. MAURICE SHINDAI ALKALI

Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District Simon Bako Lalong has expressed deep shock over the demise of late Miskoom Dr. Godfrey Bawa Shitgurum, MON who passed away recently in Abuja.

Senator Lalong along with his colleagues former Governor of Niger State Senator Sani Bello and Senator representing Plateau North Senatorial District Pam Dachunggyang visited the residence of the deceased in Abuja to commiserate with them. 

He said his demise is a big loss to the people of Gamailand, Kwo Chiefdom, QuanPan LGA, Plateau State and Nigeria at large because of his enormous contributions to the development of the society.
His successes in the world of business and entrepreneurship enabled him to create job opportunities for many youths as well as mentor others towards self-reliance and positive engagement are legacies that will follow his memory.
According to him, the deceased deployed his resources and gifts towards philanthropic causes thereby touching the lives of many positively. 

Lalong said his contributions to the Church and the spread of the gospel will also not be forgotten in a hurry.

Responding on behalf of the family, Mr. Larry Peters Bawa thanked the Senators for the visit and said they are consoled by the words of comfort. 

The delegation also extended condolences to his wife Bishop Tina Bawa.

In another development, Senator has sympathised with the Alkali family over the demise of their son Barrister Maurice Alkali who passed unto glory recently. 

Lalong in a condolence message to the family said the death of the young and vibrant lawyer creates a big vacuum in the hearts of the family and society at large.

He prayed God to forgive his sins and great his soul eternal rest.
