Within 68 days of taking office, Hon. Barr. John K. Chris, the Executive Chairman of the Jos North Local Government Council, refurbished the Jos North Legislative Chambers, adding flair and color to the space where council members will convene and discuss the rapid socioeconomic development of the local government area. 
On Thursday, December 19, 2024, Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly RT Hon. Gabriel Kudengba Dewan officially opened the renovated Jos North Legislative Chambers. 
With assistance from Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Hon. Ephraim Usman, Executive Chairman of the Jos South Local Government Council Hon. Silas Dung, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Ayuku Pwaspo, Chairman of the Jos North Peoples Democratic Party Hon. Azi Itsegok Elijah, and numerous others, the newly renovated Jos North Legislative Chambers was officially opened.
The 2024 Appropriations Bill was then presented to the Jos North Legislative Arm by Hon. John K. Christopher, Executive Chairman of the Jos North Local Government Council, for review and eventual passage. 
The Jos North Local Government Council's Executive Chairman, Hon. John K. Christopher, also announced the opening of the nine lessons and the 2024 Christmas carol. With notable LGA sons and daughters, choir groups, and LGC workers in attendance, Jos North Local Government Council was bustling with activity.
