Pharm David Danladi Wuyep, the Acting Director-General of the Plateau State Contributory Health Care Management Agency (PLASCHEMA) on the 11th July, 2023 led the management of the Agency on a courtesy call and decorated Arc. Samuel Nanchang Jatau, the Plateau State Secretary to the State Government (SGS) as an Ambassador of PLASCHEMA in his Little Rayfield office in Jos.

In his response to the remarks and requests of the PLASCHEMA Acting DG, the SGS commended the achievements of the Agency since inception because it has reduced the cost of medication and consultancy by the people of the state in hospitals of their choices.

Jatau promised to look into the plea of the Acting DG on behalf of the suspended Staff of the Agency in fairness and Justice.

The Chief Scribe of Plateau State assured the Acting DG and Management Staff of the PLASCHEMA that the Mutfwang administration, whose “time is now” has not come to intimidate, witchunt or treat any Plateau citizen unjustly.

Jatau hinted that the Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang administration has set-up a committee to look into the recruitment of Plateau State indigenes by the last administration not to witchunt anyone but to ensure that equal opportunities were given to all the 17LGA's as well as only qualified candidates were employed, nothing more and nothing less.

He said no one is against the recruitment of eligible and qualified Plateau indigenes into vacant positions, but against favouritism and leaving the children of the poor masses out of the entire exercise.

Speaking of good governance with a committed citizenry, Jatau relieved his memory of the recent visit to Rwanda where the citizens believe in the Government by being responsible in obeying laid down rules and regulations.

His words “I went to Rwanda recently and saw that it is like Europe, where everything is working and we can do it, but do we have the will to do so?”.

The SGS was shocked to discover that just because Governor Caleb Mutfwang said the State Government will liaise with the Nigeria Railway Cooperation (NRC) to reduce the suffering of Nigerians in transportation due to the total removal of petroleum subsidy in Jos – Bukuru Metropolis, some saboteurs started pilfering the rail sleepers, with this attitude of retrogression, how can Plateau and Nigeria Progress and survive?Jatau queried.

Arc Samuel Nanchang Jatau, the SGS also hinted that in Rwanda, car theft and destruction of Government properties is near non-existent. He said we should stop the cutting of trees to avoid climate change, disasters and environmental degradation.

He was disappointed when he saw people cutting trees in front of the Deputy Governor's house in Rayfield.

The experienced technocrat, Arc. Jatau said the Mutfwang administration will definitely change the face of the public service where the right thing is done devoid of favouritism and God fatherism. He said they will reform the civil service to the admiration of all but the people of Plateau must eschew tribalism, religious sentiments and ethnicity.

The SGS however, described the people of Plateau State as very strong willed, educated, hardworking, united and peaceful thus,we must keep away our differences to be cooperative, prosperous and progressive.

In conclusion, the SGS promised to partner the PLASCHEMA to achieve the purpose for which it was created.

He assured the DG and the management of PLASCHEMA of his support and service always to succeed with the maintenance of the civil service rules to build the State.

Earlier, Pharm David Danladi Wuyep, the Acting Director-General of PLASCHEMA leading Directors,Management and Staff of the Agency on a courtesy call on Arc Samuel Nanchang Jatau, the Secretary to the Government of Plateau State (SGS) appreciated the SGS for the prompt response and opportunity to the visit and to give him a detailed report on the activities of the Agency.

Wuyep said he was elated with the SGS's handling of matters since assumption of office, especially the proper handling of civil service procedures and the appointment of round pegs in round holes.

The PLASCHEMA Acting Director General pleaded profusely on behalf of all suspended members of staff of the Agency to be reabsorbed as they were committed to their duties and young people who were taken off the streets.

On the entourage of the Pharm David Danladi Wuyep, the Acting Director-General of PLASCHEMA's visit to the SGS were Dr Dawal Humphrey Kwande,Mrs Theresa Gofwen, Mrs Katherine, the DFI,the Acting Director of Administration, Ms Zukiya Zumuta amongst others.
