NKLANG O’TAROK GA LIRYEN COURTESY CALL TO ARC. SAMUEL NANCHANG JATAU SGS PLATEAU STATE

BEING THE SPEECH PRESENTED BY CHIEF AMB. NANYAH A. DAMAN, NATIONAL CO-ORDINATION, NKLANG O’TAROK GA LIRYEM ON THE OCCASION OF THE COURTESY CALL ON ARC. SAMUEL NANCHANG JATAU, THE SECRETARY TO THE PLATEAU STATE GOVERNMENT ON TUESDAY 13TH JUNE, 2023.

The Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS),
Leadership & Member of Nklang O’Tarok Ga Liryem,
Members of the Press,
Ladies and Gentlemen.

It is with great joy and gratitude to God Almighty that we pay a courtesy call of the brand new Secretary to the Plateau State Government, Arc. Samuel Nanchang Jatau, our beloved brother in whom we are well pleased.

The Nklang O’Tarok Ga Liryem (Forum of Tarok Journalists) is an association of like minds who came together to promote and improve the living standard of the migrated Bantu family of the Central African Republic with common goals to enhance the socio-cultural and political development of the Tarok nation where love and the unity of the Tarok nation should be our areas of concern which should be sacrosanct.

We join millions of well-wishers in congratulating and felicitating with one of Tarok’s finest son who served Plateau State meritoriously in the civil service, rising to the position of a Director where he helped in building Plateau State to the level it is today.

Recall Arc. Samuel Nanchang Jatau supervised the building of the present Government House Little Rayfield, the Secretariat Junction overhead bridge, the Zaria Road Stadium, the roads in Plateau State under the Governor Jonah David Jang’s administration amongst many other projects.

The Nklang O’Tarok Ga Liryem is appealing to the SGS through the Executive Governor of Plateau State to do everything humanly possible to ensure that the vacant Tarok stool of Ponzhi Tarok should be filled immediately.

We appeal to the Mutfwang Administration to secure the citizens, construct dams in Langtang South LGA, build the bridge between Nbobo and Zamgwar, provide road networks in Langtang North and South particularly the road between Pilgani linking Zamadede to Kafel to Zamgwar to Yipmong to Tutung in Kanam LGA to ease transportation and improve the educational sub-sector so that the children of the less privileged can study with less stress.

The Nklang O’Tarok Ga Liryem appeal to the SGS to use his good offices to assist the forum in acquiring a befitting office, get a bus for the running of its activities, appoint some members into the ICT team of the Mutfwang’s administration and engage its services from time-to-time in publicizing government activities. We equally appeal for the settlement of media bills owed some members and publishers by the last administration.

It is our prayers that the good Lord will give Arc. Jatau the wisdom of King Solomon and the strength of King David to assist the Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang’s administration build the state to enviable heights like during the Jonah Jang’s administration.

The event, which took place in a vibrant hall in Gora, began with a simple ball of yarn passed from hand to hand, weaving a visible web of connection among the 100 selected widows. These women shared the experience of losing their husbands to violent attacks. This was not a craft lesson, but the opening act of a profound tra...
