QUA'AN-PAN COUNCIL CHARGES PL-CARES GRANTS BENEFICIARIES


The Executive Chairman Qua'an-Pan LGC, Hon. Ernest Abner Da'a, has charged beneficiaries of the Plateau State COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (PL-CARES) Livelihood Grant Support to make judicious use of the grants to better their lives and communities.


Hon. Da'a spoke through his deputy, Hon. Helen Henniet Wapmuk while playing host to officials of the Community and Social Development Agency (CSDP) Plateau State Chapter at the Council Secretariat on Thursday June 23, 2022.

The Council Chairman said, it is a rare privilege for them to be amongst the lucky ones selected out of thousands that applied, hence the need to justify their credibility and worthiness.


"As a Council, we welcome you and wish you well as you engage the beneficiaries. We will give maximum support to ensure the success of the programme for the benefit of our people," the Chairman added.

Hon. Wapmuk, flanked by the Supervisory Councilor for Social Service, Hon. Rita Buba appreciated the Federal and State Governments for yet another intervention, stating that the Training and subsequent disbursement will go a long way to cushion some economic challenges amongst the people of the locality.



Speaking earlier, leader of the team, Mrs. Saratu Aliyu explained that their mission in Qua'an-Pan is to flag off the Orientation, Training on Soft Skills and Enrollment/Biometric Capture of Beneficiaries of the PL-CARES Grants.

Mrs. Aliyu disclosed that the 56 beneficiaries from Qua'an-Pan LGA, will be undergoing a training on how to use the grant, adding that the distribution will be done at the conclusion of the training exercise.


Thee CSDP Team later met the beneficiaries and commenced the engagement exercise immediately.

The team members included Adams Kwalpung Mark, Nuhu Daniel, Ballins Akims, Yenkwo B. Dongnaan, Nenrot Daniel, Stephanie Kumhoom, Sheila Bature, Mr Amfani and Mr Abari.
