Kanke PDP Stakeholders Supports Langshi to Produce House Member

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stakeholders in Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau State said in the interest of equity and fairness, the zoning arrangement should be sustain in respect of the State House of Assembly seat by micro-zoning the party’s ticket to Langshi Ward under Ampang Garram zone.
The stakeholders further agreed that any candidate from Ampang Garram zone the PDP stakeholders present to the party for the State House of Assembly election they will support such a candidate provided that the candidate’s emergence is peaceful.

Recall that Kanke local government has been maintaining zone arrangement both in respect of elective and appointive positions since Nigeria returned to democratic system of governance and all wards under the Kabwir, Amper and Ampang Garram zones have benefited from zoning arrangement except Langshi ward under Ampang Garram zone.
Speaking separately, the party’s stakeholders commended Honourable Lengwe Wushangka from Langshi ward under Ampang Garram zone for being a loyal member of the party despite being denied the party’s tickets for the State House and L.G.A Chairmanship yet continue to contributed to the growth of the party in Kanke.

They therefore, appealed to the party to automatically give Wushangka the party’s ticket for the State House of Assembly in the 2023 general elections.
Honourable Jidrma Akila, former Kanke Local Government Area Legistative House leader disclosed that local government has been maintaining zoning arrangement and noted that all the zones have benefited from the zoning arrangement except Langshi ward under Ampang Garram zone and for equity and fairness, the party should consider Langshi ward for the House ticket.

The Kabwir zone, PDP Chairman, Nde Wakbe Dayom acknowledged that 2023 should be the turn of Ampang Garram zone to produce the next House of Assembly Member to represent Kanke L.G.A in the House and advised the zone to pick a consensus among all the aspirants vying for seat and present the name of such candidate to the party for endorsement and support.
On his part, Nde John Kassem, former Political Adviser to Kanke L.G.A said 2023 is the turn of Langshi ward to produce House of Assembly member to represent Kanke L.G.A in the State House of Assembly. He further maintained that the party’s stakeholders from the Ampang Garram zone should conduct primaries for all the aspirants from Ampang Garram zone if they refused to present a consensus candidate.

Speaking further on the matter, former PDP Treasurer in Kanke L.G.A, Alhaji Danjuma Shuibu said the based on the zoning arrangement in Kanke L.G.A, the people of Langshi ward should be allow to produce the next State House of Assembly member and stressed that anybody aspiring for the seat from another zone other than Langshi ward in Ampang Garram zone such a person is bent on causing confusion in the party.

He charged PDP stakeholders from Ampang Garram zone to dialogue with all the aspirants from the zone with the view to producing a consensus candidate and present such a candidate to the party for endorsement and support and as stakeholders they will support any candidate from the zone.
