The Executive Chairman Riyom Local Government Hon. Mafeng Gwallson Swears-in New appointees.

The Executive Chairman Riyom Local Government Area has inaugurated a team of formidable leadership to represent the good people of Riyom Local government under his leadership. 



The eighth day of December, 2021 marked a difference in the political dispensation of 

The Hon. Mafeng Gwallson lead administration having the youngest councilor ever recorded in the history of Riyom Local Government which to many will stand the test of time as progress for the youthful development of Riyom. 


In a speech by the Executive Chairman, before listing out his appointees, the Chairman thanked the people of Riyom for their immense support in his administration, saying that the people guided his narrative in the selection of appointees and is therefore seeking there support to unite and progress. He was well aware of the challenges faced by his people, problems of insecurity, farm rustling, vehicular seizure, robbery amidst the many he couldn’t point out’ but in respective of this bedeviling situation Hon. Mafeng Gwallson has presented a support system that the people of Riyom will need in other to also aid the progress of his administration.



Speaking further, the Executive Chairman called out to those willing to go back to there various localities to come for assistance as his door is always open to all. 

Hon. Mafeng Gwallson wowed the event when he mentioned a spontaneous and significant return of IDP’s back to there native home without fear of insecurity or threats from invaders. 


Given more recognition to the Traditional rulers, Councilors, Appointees and various bodies that constitutes structure and progress for the Riyom people, Hon. Mafeng Gwallson appealed to the good people of Riyom Local Government to follow proper channels in order to be heard. Furthermore, in his words “ For every responsibility comes its challenges, I brought the appointees from the request of my people without fear and if anybody is found wanting or lacking in the progress of his or her duties, I will not hesitate to remove”. By this assurance to good leader, the Executive Chairman availed the List list of Appointees.

In conclusion, the Executive Chairman thanked personalities who made out time to grace the event hoping for more synergy.


The event was honored by the Honorable Commissioner for Information, Chairman State Steering Committee on COVID-19 Hon. Dan Manjang tendered an apology on behave of the Plateau Head of Service Hon. Sunday Hyett and advised the good-loving people of Riyom Local Government to endeavor to partake in the COVID 19 vaccination as the country Europe is presently under lockdown. He further reiterated protocol adherence for the avoidance of death as only does who are alive can celebrate. Shading more light on unity, the honorable Commissioner advises for more unity and progress among the people while wishing a Merry Christmas and a Happy NewYear in advance.
