SPEAKER YAKUBU SANDA COMMITTED TO LEGISLATIVE DRIVE IN AGRICULTURAL REVOLUTION

 


The Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly Rt.  Hon Yakubu Sanda, has reiterated the Commitment of the Legislative Arm in driving Agricultural revolution in the Plateau State. 


The Speaker stated this during the Flag-Off Ceremony for the Nigerian Brown Revolution,a CBN Wheat Value Chain Intervention, held at Kwall Miango, Bassa Local Government Are, Plateau State.

The Speaker while appreciating the President through the Central Bank Governor, for the initiative, noted that the laundible program will indeed create avenue for Youth Employment and food sufficiency in the state.

The Speaker equally commended Governor Simon Bako Lalong for driving the process and creating the enabling environment for the actualization of the Program in the state, which is the first of it's kind in the history of Nigeria.


He assured the Governor and the President of the house resolved to give Legislative back and Support to any initiative or program that will improve the Economic lots of Citizens of Plateau, particularly the Youths and the Vulnerable.

The effort of the initiative on the Plateau will add about 2,000 Metric Tones to the national seed stock and Potentially increase the Country's Wheat output by 750,000 Metric Tones annually.

Among those Present at the Flag-Off are President Mohammadu Buhari,ably represented by Governor Simon Bako Lalong, CBN Governor, Represented by his Deputy, Experts and  Stakeholders in the Agricultural Sector, the Gbong Gwom Jos, Da Jacub Gyang Buba, and Members of the Plateau State House of Assembly.
