HON. YAKUBU SANDA MOTIONS TO FIX DAMAGES IN THE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLE WHILE LEGISLATIVE ACTIVITIES BE CARRIED OUT AT OLD GOVERNMENT HOUSE.
Plateau State House of Assembly has sought to move its legislative business to the Old Government House until its hallowed Chamber is fixed.
This followed a resolution by Majority leader Hon. Naanlong Daniel to enable for repairs on the Assembly complex which was destroyed by hoodlums recently.
The day's sitting which is presided by the Speaker Yakubu Sanda began a motion to fix the hallowed Chamber arising from damages caused in the fracas that ensued during the leadership crisis in the House.
The House which is meant to deliberate on the 2022 Appropriation Bill and confirmed the extension of appointment of Chairman and Members of the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission, PLASIEC, had to stand down issues on the Order Paper because of the deplorable nature of the chamber.
In a motion on adjournment, the House majority leader Hon. Naanlong Gapyil Daniel moved that legislative sessions be moved to the Old Government House to pave way for renovation
The motion was unanimously supported by members.
