THE LOUD SILENCE OF PLATEAU'S ELITES

THE LOUD SILENCE OF PLATEAU'S ELITES by Fadip Kwamkur (Qwamie)

The SELECTION to usher in a new decision-making team for Plateau State is brewing and it has thus far served what I describe a culmination of a decent lineup for the highly coveted seat in the State, this assertion is in cognizance to the quality cum Resume' of these Individuals drawn from a wide spectrum is an array of experienced and successful individuals from different backgrounds, it will be fair to say these personalities have been shining stars in their areas of career and profession.

On the flipside, Plateau has been a field of obnoxious killings in the past decades and the actions and inactions of the ELITIST sons and daughters of this blessed state have continually betrayed the generation it will leave behind by maintaining a position which one would best describe as that of COWARDICE. I observe with pain how even persons who desire  to lead maintain a very "LOUD SILENCE", could this be that they are averse to troubling waters upon which the ships of "Plateau King makers" sail? Or would that amount to raising unnecessary dust?

You may want to refer me to a few statements credited to some of these individuals condemning the recent unfortunate attacks and reprisals, beyond statements released by proxies what do they truly stand for? At best this conspiracy of silence will be described as trying to be Politically correct, or is this to insinuate that when you take a stand with the Plateau people you will be condemned? Like many Plateau compatriots i have questions begging answers.

Unfortunately only patriots with little influence are telling the GRAPEVINE Plateau story to the world whilst the institutions and individuals whose shoulders this responsibility lay rather speak less or totally keep mute. I have watched with keen attention claims and counter claims on different mediums from Government, socio-cultural and religious groups on what may have been the factual information on the recent breach of peace in the State and i have come to a resolve that the Truth in this case as in previous instances is relative. To the Plateau man or woman whom God has placed in Places of influence i leave you with this, speak the PLATEAU TRUTH no matter whose ox is gored, Because your silence is very loud.
