LONG KWO HOLDS FIRST COUNCIL MEETING, TO APPOINT MORE TITLE HOLDERS


Long Kwo holds first Council meeting, to appoint more title holders October

The Long Kwo of Kwo Chiefdom Miskoom Fidelis Longtoe Attahiru I, on Saturday July 24, 2021 held his first Council meeting  at the District office in Kwande, Quaan Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State.


During the meeting with his newly appointed title holders, Miskoom Attahiru I briefed them on his tour of his domain, which he said was significant.

The meeting also received reports from 13 families who were holding in trust Kwo land before the emergence of the new Long Kwo.


Among the families that presented their reports are  those of Kumbur, Goje, Kanglu Alade, Aboki, Dumbu and Wau.

Others are the families of Kawap, Pegoelong,  John Eplong, Danlami Nkup, Kurwat , Ndek and the Long Nwum.

The meeting also identified the  vacant titles under the jurisdictions of the Niyu of Luukwo and Kawo Npap, after the Niyu, Miskoom Tsenlong Barau Miskoom Kawo Tanko Be"et presented their reports.


After the reports were presented,  Long Kwo Attahiru I informed the Council that  a date would fixed in October 2021 for the appointments of the remaining titles in the Chiefdom and directed the Niyu of Luu Kwo and Kawo of Npap to commence the processes for the appointments of the vacant titles under them and revert to him immediately.


The Council also constituted a team to draw up a blue print to cover the areas of Security, health,  education, agriculture, cultural heritage and commerce, among others for the Chiefdom.
