NCPC BOSS CALLS ON THE GOVERNORS OF THE NORTH EAST TO SUPPORT THE VULNERABLE PEOPLE IN THEIR STATES.
The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, Rev. Yakuba Pam has called on the governors of the North East to rise up to support the widows and orphans who had lost their beloved ones in the course of the insurgency in their region. He made this known recently in Gombe during a meeting with the officials and members of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN Gombe state chapter at the Christian Centre, Gombe.
The NCPC helmsman called on the governors to support those who had lost their places of worship in the North East both Christians and Muslims which he said would engender peace and help to fully rehabilitate them.
He commended the exemplary leadership of governor Zulum of Borno state and called on other governors in the region to emulate him. Rev. Pam also commended President Buhari for his commitment to end insurgency in the North East.
He averred that the church is vested with the powers to speck divinely by God. He further stated that the position God had placed men and a woman of God is a position of honour. According to him,’’ we are inspired to speck the words of honor’’. He described the work of God’s people as a watch dog which presupposes that they must uphold truth and be steadfast at all times.
The NCPC boss cautioned that their work should not be politicized, ‘’ let’s build bridges and not build divisions’’.
In the words of Rev. Pam, ‘’ I want to let you know that you are not alone. The problem of Nigeria lies in the church. You are a champion, you are the one God is looking for, be strong in what you are doing’’. He admonished them to remove hatred for one another, adding that his appointment as the Executive Secretary of NCPC was divine and it is meant for CAN and the church.
He affirmed that through their prayers the crisis in the North East would soon be over.
