FIRST SAMARITAN LOVE FOUNDATION HONOURS NEWSGATE MAGAZINE GROUP MANAGING EDITOR CHIEF AMB NANYAH ANDREW DAMAN AS BEST PLATEAU INDIGENOUS PUBLISHER, OTHERS.

The First Samaritan Love Foundation has honoured, Chief Amb Nanyah Andrew Daman, Jarumin Jat and the Group Managing Editor of the NewsGate Magazine as the Best Plateau Indigenous Publisher  at the 2024 Security and Peace Award Ceremony on Friday 28th June, 2024 at the Crispan Hotel and Events Centre, Rayfield Jos, the Plateau State capital. 
The Security and Peace Awards started with a discussion on the security situation in Nigeria and Plateau State in particular. 
Five security agencies, namely, the Nigerian Police Force, the Nigerian Correctional Service, the Nigerian Immigration Service, the  Nigerian Security and Civil  Defence Corps  and the Nigerian Fire Service discussed Security and Peace issues,particularly the non Kinetic approach to Peace and Security. 
In the remarks of the General Officer Commanding 3rd Armoured Division of the Nigerian Army and Commander, Operation Safe Haven,Major General A E Abubakar (DSC)LR DSS psc(+)fdc(+)CM FCM FCHM NAOCM Msc MNIM, who was ably represented by Brig General M O Agi, spoke on the topic of discourse titled "Security Beyond Weapons, Rethink Non-Kinetic Approach"said the topic was apt in view of the multidimensional Security challenges facing the country and the world at large. 
Brig-General M O Agi, the representative of the GOC and STF Commander hinted that the organisers of this epoch making event obviously understand that a comprehensive approach comprising both Kinetic and non-kinetic lines of efforts are required to effectively tackle the myriads of security challenges bedevilling our society. 
Rt Hon Yusuf Adamu Gagdi,the Chairman of the House Committee on Navy and the member representing Pankshin, Kanke and Kanam Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives spoke on Security and Peace as it relates to Governance. Gagdi blamed the Federal Government for the insecurity in Nigeria due to bad Governance. Gagdi also spoke to the media after receiving his merit award by the First Samaritan Love Foundation. He was accompanied to the award ceremony by his beautiful wife, Hajiya Laila Gagdi and supporters. 
The Security and Peace Awards of the Minister of Defence, the Minister of State Defence, the Chief of Defence Staff, the Chief of Army Staff, the Chief of Air Staff, the Chief of Naval Staff, the Comptroller General of Immigration, the Inspector General of Police, the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Comptroller General of the Correctional Service and the General Officer Commanding 3rd Armoured Division of the Nigerian Army were received by Brig General M O Agi, the Director of Operations of the Operation Safe Heaven (STF).
Other recipients of the Security and Peace Awards were the Governor of Plateau State, Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Sen Jonah David Jang, Sen Pam Dachungyang Mwadkon, Sen Diket Plang, Sen I D Gyang, Rt Hon Gabriel Kudangbena Dewan, Rt.Hon Idris Maje, Hon John Dafaan, Hon Daniel Asama, Hon Alfred Ajang, Hon Vincent Bulus, Hon Beni Lar,Hon Kemi Nshe,Hon Bature Shuwa,Rev Dr Yakubu Pam, Barr Gyang Zi, Barr Ayuba Yirvons, the VC of the  University of Jos, Ahmed Musa and 31 others. 
In his welcome address, Amb Takalis Dandaura Daspan, the Editor in Chief of the Security and Peace Magazine and the Executive Director of FISALOF with profound pleasure welcomed all to the second edition launch and awards ceremony of the Security and Peace Magazine. 
Daspan said as a Civil Society Organisation, FISALOF shares in the responsibility to stay ahead of the emerging threats and develop effective strategies to mitigate them, thus the resolve to give Nigerians the pleasure of witnessing another bumper edition of the Security and Peace Magazine and Awards ceremony. 
The Editor in Chief of the Security and Peace Magazine  said that the magazine explore the issues of professionals in the military, experts in policy, legal jurisprudence, food security, business and entertainment to understand the impacts of security and peace in all areas. 
The Second Edition of the Security and Peace Magazine,a publication of the First Samaritan Love Foundation (FISALOF) was launched by Rt Hon Yusuf Adamu Gagdi with $1000, Sen Diket Plang with N1m, Dr Mantu with N1m, Sen Pam Dachungyang Mwadkon with N500,000, Barr Yirvons, N200,000, Chief Amb Nanyah Andrew Daman with an undisclosed token and a host of others.

A 3-man panel of Judges of the Tribunal, led by Hon. Justice Cordelia Ogadi upheld that there is no any substantial evidence before the tribunal that senator Mwadkwon forged First School Leaving Certificate and the West African School Certificate.

JUST IN  Plateau North Senatorial Rerun - Youths Endorse ADP Candidate Prince Pam  Mwadkwon  Youths and other stakeholders in Jos yesterday endorsed the Senatorial bid of Hon Prince Pam Mwadkon Dachungyang  of the Action Democratic Party ( ADP) , in the Plateau North Senatorial rerun election  slated to hold on Saturday February 3rd 2024 .
