Wild  jubilation trailed Tarabans minutes after Governor Agbu Kefas announced major palliatives plans on Wednesday 9th August, 2023.


In a press statement signed by Mr Emmanuel Bello, the Special Adviser to the Taraba State Governor on Media and Digital Communications and made available to the NewsGate Magazine, the NewsCrest Newspaper, Ace News Online, Jat HotNews Newspaper, Frank News Magazine, Emerald Magazine, Trust News Online, Reliable and Factual News Online and Prompt News Online pointed out that while addressing labour leaders in Jalingo, Kefas said his administration is committed to cushioning the harsh effects of the removal of fuel subsidy. 

He said compassion and the need to use creative means to change the lives of people is the motivation for palliatives. 


According to Kefas, the Atate Government will promptly implement the Federal Government approved minimum wage in October. 


Also contained in the 10 point plan, is the transportation subsidy to farmers to enable them move their products from the farms to the markets. The Governor said the move was to deal with the crisis of food shortage. 


Consequently, he announced that farmers will be able to access free seedlings and fertilizers to enhance better yields. 


Relatedly, the Governor announced that 10,000 youths will be engaged as part of the task force to clean up Taraba st3ate. They would be paid 15 thousand Naira each monthly. 


He said the Government will purchase gas powered vehicles to reduce reliance on fuel. 


Speaking on new energy, the Governor announced further that the Ministry of Digital Economy will find creative means to transform waste to wealth.

A 3-man panel of Judges of the Tribunal, led by Hon. Justice Cordelia Ogadi upheld that there is no any substantial evidence before the tribunal that senator Mwadkwon forged First School Leaving Certificate and the West African School Certificate.

The Long Gamai of Gamai Nation, HRH Miskoom Martin Mudu'utrie Shaldas III, has advocated for a more robust means of unity among the sub Gamai groups. Miskoom Shaldas III, made the call on Sunday October 27, 2024; when the Chairman Board of Trustees of the Gamai Bible Translation and Gamai Literacy Project, Nda Noetsen Kevin Kwaplong, led members of the Board and the organizers of Dedication, Presentation and Launching of the Gamai Bible and Literacy Project after the Thanksgiving Mass, organized by the Central Working Committee, led by Nda Kurnajam Joseph Ari; held at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Shendam, Plateau State. The Long Gamai commended the team, and stressed that the successful conduct of the event was a consequence of the unity exhibited the sub Gamai groups, emphasizing that the unity is key in whatever we need to achieve. Miskoom Shaldas III, who was full of appreciation to the team added that the resilience, commitment, synergy and ene
