Hon Dan Manjang, the Plateau State Commissioner of Information and Communication has re-emphasised that the Rescue Administration of Rt Hon.Barr Dr Simon Bako Lalong KSGG intends to complete the Legacy Projects, the British-America overhead bridge, the Jos Main Market Projects and other projects at the end of the tenure.
Dan Manjang made the clarification when the authentic Plateau Publishers Association (PPA) paid the Commissioner and his management a courtesy call on Friday 6th May,2022 at the Ministry's Headquarters, Joseph Gomwalk Secretariat, Jos.
The Commissioner of Information and Communication, Plateau State in responding to the request of the Chairman of the PPA, Chief Amb Nanyah Andrew Daman on the purchase of a Hummer Bus,a biffiting office accommodation, retainership
, partnership and payment of liabilities by Ministries, Departments and Agencies said he will look into the request passionately to address them in view of the contributions of the PPA to the Plateau State Government.
Manjang gave the Rescue Administration a pass mark considering the institutional framework put in place for the attainment of peace despite the fact that there were 35 peace meetings between the Fulanis and the Irigwes,yet after two or three weeks,there would be attacks.This means that it is deeper than what we see.
The commissioner hinted that over 3000 youths were recruited and trained into the constabularies to maintain the peace in the rural areas.
On the building of the Jos Main Market by the Jaiz Bank on build operate and transfer, Manjang said that the market is going to be built in three phases with the first phase to be in place in the next six months.
On the commissioning of Projects, the Information and Communication Commissioner said that there are Projects that have been completed and put to use without commissioning like the Light Jos Projects.
