DAKUM'S TRIUMPHANT ENTRY AND TUMULTUOUS RECEPTION IN LANGTANG NORTH LGA.

Dr Patrick Sunday Dakum, the Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Human Virology Abuja-Nigeria, the leader of the consolidation for Greater Plateau 2023 Team and the leading Plateau State All Progressive Congress (APC) Governorship Aspirant was on Tuesday 12th April 2023 had a triumphant entry and a tumultuous reception in Langtang North local Government Area of Plateau State.

Dakum was received at the Sabon Layi Border of Langtang North LGA by a mammoth crowd of members of the Langtang North Consolidation Team, Langtang North for Dakum Group, Youth Network for Consolidation, Tarok Youths for Dakum, Tarok intelligensia for Dakum, supporters, well wishers and APC faithfuls of Langtang North LGA.

At Sabon Layi a very significant and symbolic event of decorating Plateau's most favourite Governorship Aspirant, who has 65% chances of clinching the ticket to Rayfield in March 2023 with Tarok traditional heroic attire of "Ngbat, ibontili, Iwar and Ijang ( all war and hunting expedition weaponry). This symbolically means Dr Dakum is not only acceptable in Tarokland but awarded with defence and hunting apparatus to go into the contest for Governorship, win and share the pecks of office with the Tarok nation. This also portrays the acceptance of the friendship of Dr Dakum by the Tarok Race. 

These equipment and assernal of self defense and hunting expedition were given to him by the Elders of the APC in Langtang North LGA, Hon Godfrey Miri Bunu Nanjip, Chief Amb Nanyah A Daman, Jarumi Jat, Hon Timzing Miri, Dr Valentine Wuyep, Hon Felix Dashe, Kwamkur Fadip, David Kazi and a host of others to signify the love and friendship the Tarok nation has for Dr Patrick Sunday Dakum, an in law of Tarok nation, whose younger brother , Prof Nuhu Dakum married to the Baba Laven family in Langtang North.

After the beautiful presentation of the Tarok weaponry, the Consolidation for Greater Plateau 2023 Team majestically drove into Sabon Layi, Lohmak, Jat, Reak, Dangre,Kwampe and Langtang town into the revered Ponzhi Tarok's palace to the supportive arms of the Tarok Traditional Council.

In his remarks at the Ponzhi Tarok's Palace, Dr Patrick Dakum thanked the Tarok nation for the warm and thunderous reception since he stepped foot on the Tarok soil from Sabon Layi Jat District to Kuffen where he was shown true friendship and love. He said he is back home after a while to reconnect with friends, brothers, supporters,well wishers and worthy in laws.

Dakum said while other aspirants came and made promises, he is coming back home as a son and brother of Tarokland with the blood link between the Lavens and the Dakums with children and grandchildren desirous of having a healthy beneficial and long lasting relationship for the good of all.

 He continued that the Holy Spirit and the witnesses at the palace will not allow him to neglect Tarok nation as done in the past and he adores their friendship and love.

The God fearing Dr Patrick Dakum told the Royal Fathers that he came with two requests to the palace,  namely, the need for their prayers to God Almighty, the omnipotent and omniscience, the giver of power to whomever and He wishes at whatever time He so desires to answer his wish of becoming the Executive Governor of Plateau State in 2023 for the Agricultural, Development , Tourism Development, Mineral Development and Security of lives and properties. Secondly, Dr Patrick Dakum asked for the blessings of the Tarok Traditional Council and leaders as well as special prayers for his emergence as the next Governor of Plateau State devoid of hurt, hate and rancour.

Dakum recounted his nostalgic relationship with the late Chief Solomon Daushep Lar, who mentored him in Politics and church leadership, Prof Mary Lar, under whom he got proper tutelage when they were elected elders of the COCIN Headquarters Church several years past and his smooth relationship with Hon Beni Lar, a daughter, Plateau is proud of Dakum told the eminent Tarok rulers how he prayed with Prof Mary Lar and she gave him her blessings before venturing into the race, where they prayed with Mama Mary Lar for the spirit of discernment, so that God will open his eyes to see fake and true friends and supporters and for God to give Dakum good health to criss cross the entire state for consultations and canvassing for votes to little Rayfield Government House in 2023.

The APC leading Gubernatorial Hopeful,Dr Patrick Dakum said the victory would not be just about him but the Government of all as Plateau is for everybody. He said he would consolidate on the achievements of all past leaders from late JD Gomwalk to Solomon Lar, to Fidelis Tapgun to Joshua Dariye to Jonah David Jang and to Simon Bako Lalong technologically to the benefit of the people of the Home of Peace and Tourism.

 He said as the Chairman of the "Daily Walk with Christ" a COCIN Daily Devotionals for 17 years despite tight schedules, he would use love and friendship to unite Plateau State.

His Royal Highness Comptroller Ponfa Bahal, the Ponzhi Bwarat who represented the Acting Chairman of the Joint Tarok Traditional Council warmly welcomed Dr Patrick Dakum and his efficient entourage to Langtang and Tarok nation. He said on the first request for prayers, he called on the Sarkin Yemma to give him royal blessings and prayers.

After the well articulated prayers and blessings by the Sarkin Yemma of Langtang, the Ponzhi Bwarat said he knew Dr Patrick Sunday Dakum in 2006 when he was importing vaccines into the country to save lives while he was in NACA,then the Ponzhi was the Comptroller was  in charge of the Abuja Airport. Ponzhi Ponfa Bahal said he knows Dakum very well as a good and honest man, through one of his staff, Mr Dalyop at the airport.

The well respected Ponzhi Bwarat said Dakum has served the nation and Plateau State very much and he has a very good intention for the people of Plateau State, hence he should be supported. He said the most dangerous virus in Plateau Governance is the virus of "this is our turn and time" and prayed that may the "virus of this is our turn and time" be killed by Dr Patrick Dakum.

He assured that the virus will go during Dakum's administration.

HRH Comptroller Ponfa Bahal described the Tarok people as amiable, straightforward, loving, caring and very hospital but often misunderstood to be arrogant and bossy due to their straightforwardness.

He said the Tarok man refuses to be intimidated.The representative of the Acting Chairman of the Tarok Traditional Council said as requested Dr Dakum he  has the blessings of the Tarok people to go and conquer the race, but must come back for thanksgiving and appreciation. 

He continued that "as our in law, you have no option but to love us and be our genuine friend because a Dakum is created out of Tarok, thus nobody can separate us from that relationship. You have our blessings, goodwill and prayers. One by one, God will answer all your prayers. We have seen the sincerity of your heart, thus, God in his infinite mercies will fulfill your hearts desires, safe journey"the revered Royal Father concluded.

After the great and favourable reception at the palace of the Ponzhi Tarok by the Tarok Traditional Council, the Consolidation for Greater Plateau 2023 team moved in a long convoy with songs and chants of Sai Dakum to the office of the Executive Chairman of Langtang North LGC, Hon.Barr Bitrus Rimven Zulfa, where the August visitors in April were warmly received by the workaholic Deputy Chairman, Hon Nancy Timya Paul and the amazing Council Secretary, Hon David Mamshep, Director General Research, Hon Engr Selji Illya, Supervisory Councillors and well wishers.

In his remarks at the Executive Chairman's office, Dr Patrick Sunday Dakum said he is very lucky and happy to be received by the loyal Deputy Chairman,Hon Nancy Timya Paul because of her genuine and lovely disposition as a woman. He described her as a sensitive material for the actualisation of the consolidation mandate in Langtang North LGA. Dakum hinted that he has been in a relationship with prominent Tarok sons and daughters in the last forty years, for example late Solomon Lar, Prof Mary Lar, Beni Lar etc. His younger brother, Prof Nuhu Dakum is married to a Tarok Lady, which makes him an in law to the Tarok nation. Hon Stephen Miri has been his friend for a long time, Hon Timzing Miri Dashe has been his staff with the institute of human Virology in Abuja for the Past 7 years. Chief Amb Nanyah A Daman (JP), Jarumin Jat, his Director of Media, Dr Valentine Wuyep, Hon Nankar Shagaya and so many others have been closely related to him and the movement.

Dakum said he brought greetings to the exalted office of the Executive Chairman of Langtang North and to inform the Executive arm of the LGC of his intention to contest for the Plateau State number one seat under the APC. He posited that the Dakum aspiration stands out because he always thinks of the smartest ways of creating a healthy living at the home front and had dug over 200 boreholes across Langtang North LGA some years back during the old Langtang LGC before the creation of Langtang South LGC. He confirmed that communities can move mountains if they are united, thus, Tarok nation will definitely speak and benefit from the point of strength in brotherliness in his administration. 

Dakum said he knows the Tarok man as bold and daring, hence his leadership prowess, thus, he is courting the friendship of the Tarok nation in Governance.

The Deputy Chairman of Langtang North LGC, Hon Nancy Timya Paul in her response said on behalf of the Executive Chairman of the Council, Hon Barr Bitrus Rimven Zulfa, who was unavoidably absent, welcome the leader of the consolidation for Greater Plateau 2023 team, Dr Patrick Sunday Dakum, his amiable wife and the in coming first Lady, Mrs Sarah Yop Dakum and his supporters to Langtang and Tarok Nation. 

The Deputy Chairman said she was excited that Dr Dakum started his speech with the name of God as the giver of power using us, thus, God will take him to little Rayfield Government House.

Hon Nancy Paul urged the First lady to be, to be very prayerful as God can change impossibility to possibility and by the Grace of God almighty, Dakum will become the next Executive Governor of Plateau State.

Commenting on the visit, Hon David Mamshep, the Council Secretary described Dr Patrick Dakum as a politician of great repute and experience. He said Dakum is a household name.

 He said Dakum is very lucky with the army of illustrious Tarok sons and daughters in his campaign trail and thus he should not leave Tarok nation behind when eventually he becomes the Governor of Plateau State.

Elder Stephen Mamdun Miri, an APC stalwart in Langtang North LGA described Dr Patrick Dakum as a genuine politician with the fear of God and love for humanity, who is eager to develop human capital as well as communities for years. 

He said Dakum started contributing to political development of the state and country in the second republic, thus, he is not an ordinary politician but a genuine politician who knows the yearnings of the masses, thus, Langtang North delegates should all give him their votes at both the APC primary elections and the main election's. He said Dakum is the best choice for Plateau State in the 2023 Governorship election's because of his sterling and unblemish qualities over the years.

The next point of contact was the Langtang North LGC Legislative Arm where Dr Patrick Dakum addressed the Councillors.

 Dr Dakum told the councillors that he was in their chambers to solicit for their prayers, blessings and votes in the forthcoming APC Governorship primaries.

Dakum urged the councillors to save the state, nation and democracy by choosing the best aspirant that will return the APC to power, back to back, or they will be the first casualty via dissolution. The best person to fill that position is Dakum, he said.

The Legislative Leader, Principal Officers and Councillors agreed to give Dakum their maximum support.

The Langtang North APC Secretariat was the last point of call where Dr Dakum addressed the LGA party as well as the Ward Exco. He told the delegates to give him their votes in love and friendship and Tarokland shall develop faster and better. 

He asked them to build the APC to remain in power or else we would be in limbo
