QUA'AN-PAN LGC TO INTRODUCE DRUGS REVOLVING SCHEME IN PHC CLINICS

The Local administration in Qua’an-Pan Local Government is to commence a Drugs Revolving Scheme at some designated Primary Health-Care Clinics in the area.

Council Chairman, Hon. Ernest Da’a who disclosed this plans while playing host to the Social Mobilization Committee on health related programme in his office noted that the gesture will make essential drugs available and affordable to residents in the area.

The Chairman stated that one of the cardinal plans of his administration is to bring cheap health-care services to the doorsteps of the rural dwellers and sue for support from stakeholders. 


Da’a while commending the committee members for their selfless services especially for mobilizing parents and guardians to ensure that their children and wards receives recommended vaccines pledged the Council’s readiness to support their programmes.


Earlier Chairman of the Social Mobilization Committee and Long Kwa, Miskoom Ignatius Dadel disclosed that their mission is to come and congratulate the new Council leadership for their victory at the last Local Government Councils polls and explained that the committee has been instrumental in resolving issues relating to vaccines rejections in different communities.


In their separate contributions, outgoing Deputy Director of Primary Health-Care Department, Lydia Emmanuel and the Social Mobilization Officer, Selnan Bahal observed that the major challenges faced by the committee is the finances needed for advocacy and enlightenment especially in organizing flag-off ceremonies to kick start immunization programmes.
