YILLAH WRITES LALONG, CONDEMNS ILLEGAL REMOVAL OF SPEAKER ABOK

YILLAH WRITES LALONG, CONDEMNS ILLEGAL REMOVAL OF SPEAKER ABOK

An Ngas born philanthropist, international business mogul and founder, Yillah Foundation, Mr Dennis Danladi Yillah, has chided Plateau State Governor, Barrister Simon Lalong for discarding ethical ideals to perpetrate a wanton destruction of our democratic norms in the shameless and bizzare impeachment of the Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Nuhu Ayuba Abok, by seven members in a twenty-four man legislature.

In an open letter to the governor made available to newsmen, the business magnet berated the democratic credentials of Lalong, whom as a lawyer, was one time a leader of the state legislature; and now as governor, he has had a stint in the three arms of government, which fact ought to have  better equipped him to appreciate the independence of each arm of government. But lamented that such experience had unfortunately moulded Lalong into a dictator that has no respect for democratic ideals, notwithstanding that he is the highest beneficiary of democratic governance in Plateau State from 1999 to date.

Yillah, who was nostalgic about the circumstances leading to Lalong's emergence as governor in 2015, bemoaned how the governor has squandered the goodwill of Plateau voters on the alter of egocentrism.

Notwithstanding the governor's absurd denial of having a hand in the charade that reduced Plateau State to an object of mockery in the national and international scenes, Mr Yillah said the mere recognition the governor had accorded the Yakubu Sanda led eightman faction of the legislature, was a clear testimony of his full involvement in the sheer absurdity that was ochestrated by none other than his personal self.

Yillah was full of kind words to the youth of Plateau State for collectively kicking against the purported impeachment of Abok, and encouraged them to continue to defend the interest of Plateau State against executive high-handedness of the governor.

According to him, the rot being perpetrated by Lalong was characteristic of the Buhari led APC administration in Nigeria, and thereby, called on all well meaning citizens of Nigeria to vote out APC government, as opportunity avail itself in the 2023 elections for us to right all our wrongs.

He said that, not only is our economic, social and political fortunes cascading under the APC government, but also, tge sense of decency in the administration of Nigeria has been eroded.
