WHY IS PDP CRYING MORE THAN THE BEREAVED, HON. ABOKS IMPEACHMENT WAS FOR THE BETTERMENT OF PLATEAU STATE - Majority Leader House of Assembly.

Hon. Abok Ayuba’s Impeachment Was Necessary for the betterment of Plateau State.

By Justin Jattim

Impeachment procedures, constitutional deferment, Section 92, 2 (C) CFRN 1999 (As Amended) Hon. Naanlong Daniel Gapyil in his press statement to becloud the sentimental disposition of the Plateau peoples minds over the impeachment of Hon. Abok Ayuba, the Majority Leader to the House of Assembly  states that the constitution as above’ gave room for 16 out of the 24 members who signed a resolution for impeachment of Hon. Abok Ayuba. A Quorum devoid of numbers had 17 members present in the Chambers. To revoke the baseless and misleading theories on the impeachment of Hon. Abok, Hon. Naanlong D. Gapyil boldly clears that the Clark of the House has names of all members present in the house that day for public reference.

Hon. Naanlong further buttressed that the speakers impeachment came as a result of his negligence and refusal to reconvene the house. Hon. Abok Ayuba’s disapproval to grant a hearing to members with regards to the 2022 appropriation bill which the Governor laid before the house was thrown overboard by the speaker Hon. Abok.

The inability to conduct legislative proceedings entailing Bills, Motions, matters that require urgent public intervention was all shot out the door setting us back. Hon. Yakubu Sanda stands out to phantom this drowsy storm of misharps Hon. Naanlong pointed out.

Giving accolades to Governor Lalong for being the first in the country for the passage of Autonomy Law, Hon. Naanlong reiterated his disapprovels for the gross financial misappropriation which Hon. Abok Ayuba displayed for his selfish benevolence as against the Funds Management Law which stipulates Principal officers, Financial Management Committee should take collective decisions in regards to approvals or any important decisions or Financial Management. Hon. Abok Ayuba broke those laws and on account for those mismanagement, he kept swindling away physical presence resulting in gross incompetence and financial recklessness.

To further increase salt to injury, Hon. Abok Ayuba after impeachment accrued a fake maze to convene a Kangaroo sitting out side the jurisdiction of the House of Assembly.

Jat HotNews gathered that after the impeachment process with lead to the removal of Hon. Abok and installment of Hon. Yakubu Sanda, Hon. Abok congratulated the new Speaker, not to Danish his good name and reputation as being impeached, Hon Abok wrote a letter of resignation while pleading to expedite his good name.

Calling on the reputable voices on the Plateau from the Senate, Reps, down the ladder, Hon. Naanlong Gapyil decried misinformation as a breach to consider in evaluating facts which transpired on the floor of the house.

The majority leader questioning the character of the PDP towards this developments raised an eyebrows as to why the PDP are crying more than the bereaved. Hon. Neenlong granted say to PDP when he said the house has met up the constitutional requirement in removing it's speaker and anyone uncomfortable about the idea can approach the court for reverence.

Finally, to cream his delightful statement, Hon. Naanlong Daniel Gapyil reassures the good people of Plateau state the zeal and commitment of the house with the leadership of Hon. Yakubu Sanda that they will work closely with other arms of government in providing the true needed dividends of democracy.

The Majority Leader using Jat HotNews a prospective safe haven to dish out quality information, wishes to appeal to the Inspector General of Police to unseal the house to enable them to continue their legislative functions given the numerous bills on the ground with massive hits drawing attention to the 2022 appropriation bill.
