KOGI TUSSLE CONTINUES AS 2023 APPROCHES. WHO ENDS UP VICTORIOUS?

KOGI POLITICS
By Prince Abubakar Ilemona Ibrahim

Peeping into the kogi state politics, though it has not been easy since the creation of the state,
Igala speaking language is the majority tribe, and have been governing the state uninterruptedly, until governorship election was then nullified by the tribunal that saw an Okun man who was then the state assembly speaker's took over as an anting governor then under the political period of Alhaji Ibrahim Idris former Governor of kogi state

Thereafter The former speaker Clarance Olafemi a political born Okun Man, govern for 3month and fresh election that was conducted still returned Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, who won the late prince Abubakar Audu then as Governor of Kogi state
Complaining have also been greetings Elections in Kogi State,

After the period of Alhaji Ibrahim Idris who govern for 9 years as executive governor of Kogi state, he was said to had anointed first was the present kogi East senator Alhaji Jibrin Isah Echocho, thereafter he allowed him Echocho to spent all his money he the former governor made U- turned and politically betrayed his first and the masses acceptance governorship candidate, echocho and the ticket was allegedly withdrawn to his then newly announced anointed man, Alhaji Idris Wada, and the election was conducted and Wada won leaving the Man of the masses hopeless
And again he the former governor repeat this in 2015, where together with his people's called the senator ,Alhaji Jibrin Isah Echocho promised him that he would emerged gubernatorial candidate not knowing that they are only using and riding on his popularity to win their election because of the fear of the late political icon prince Abubakar Audu may his soul rest in peace Ameen

From there the people's senator, Alhaji Jibrin Isah Echocho, was beg to join APC, and former Boss the late prince of the Niger, Alhaji Abubakar Audu personally called him to leave PDP and join him to restoring the lost glory to the state by PDP led government under which have and percentage payment of salary to workers by their governors, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, and Alhaji Idris wada was the sing of the state

And in the Election APC candidate was winning with wide margin before he prince Audu gave up the ghost at the process

And second run up candidate the incumbent governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello came up and politically enthroned as the executive Governor of Kogi state , and served his first tenure uninterruptedly and re- contested in 2019, where Echocho was beg from the political bigwigs to contest for senate and he accepted the call and contested and he defeated the former senator, Attain Aidoko with wide margin and Governor Bello won again and the lies on echocho by the PDP to one court or the other to truncate the election could not hold water

Today Echocho remain the kogi east senator, and with his achievements in the last two years, analyst have testify that no senator from the district has done it well to that extend

In 2023 if he senator Echocho recontesting the senate he has a wide chance to win again
