PLASU PREPARES TO RESUME 2020/22 ACADEMIC SESSION

As part of preparations for the commencement of the 2020/22 academic session, Management of Plateau State University Bokkos has concluded the renovation of its students hostels and the decontamination of major buildings in the University.

Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Yohana Daniel Izam who paid an inspection visit to the hostels and other project sites in the institution expressed satisfaction with the renovation work on the facilities which will greatly enhance the achievement of the COVID 19 guidelines for the safe reopening of schools.

Professor Izam noted that with the completion of additional lecture theatres and staff offices in the newly completed Faculty of Social Sciences, activities in the University will receive a major boost as the issue of infrastructural deficit has been addressed.

He commended Governor Simon Bako Lalong for his prompt intervention in addressing the agitations recently made by staff Unions in the University assuring that with the progress so far made by the 7man Committee recently constituted to address the issues, details of the resumption of academic activities will be announced soon.
