PPA LAUDS ACHIEVEMENT OF SENATOR ISTIFANUS GYANG, RT. HON. IDRIS MAJE & AHMED MUSA

Shabul Mazadu, the Chairman Plateau Publishers Association (PPA), has lauded the efforts of the Senator representing Plateau North Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Istifanus Gyang, Deputy Speaker, Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Idris Maje and Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, for organising and synergy to host the Plateau North Peace, Unity and Reconciliation Football Tournament held at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium, Jos.

Chairman of the association, Shabul Mazadu, said the tournament is timely and endowed with multiple benefits which well tapped can better the lives of so many citizens and their families. According to him, Plateau State truly needs genuine peace and reconciliation which are the panaceas for the cancerous ethno-religious polarisation of the state militating against the attraction and coming of investors to invest in the state being the embers of the incessant crises witnessed from time to time.

Mazadu added that football being a unifying factor with the largest enthused followers amongst all sports, with multifaced vast job provisions, was well chosen by Senator Gyang as it will preach the message of unity and reconciliation from the least to the greatest, and bring together the multi ethnic nationals and locals on the Plateau to see the vitality of treading as one for the good of all.
The PPA chairman further appeals to Gyang to extend the peace and reconciliation through sports to Basketball and Volley ball which have so many great talents and supporters too, saying it will greatly enhance peace and unity on the Plateau.

Mazadu lauds Gyang saying since his ascension to the senatorial seat, Plateau North Senatorial District witnesses great improvement in peaceful coexistence due to his efforts in complementing that of that state government; and for his empowerment program for his constituents.

Mazadu praised Hon. Maje for always identifying with progressive initiatives in Plateau irrespective of religious, political party and ethnic inclinations. And that worthy of eulogies are his tremendous empowerment schemes for his Federal Constituency, Wase, and that of other citizens of Plateau without recourse to roots, political party, region, religion and local government.

Mazadu commended the Super Eagles Skipper, Ahmed Musa, for contributing immensely in projecting Plateau in good light internationally with his performance on the football pitch and well behaved attitude in all the football clubs he played; not forgetting his immense support for upcoming footballers on the Plateau and for not forsaking the state, but always visiting it, thus fulfilling the saying, “There is no place like home.”
