HON. YAKUBU PAM VISITS DESTROYED AREAS IN PLATEAU STATE.

By Justin Jattim

Today I Hon. Yakubu Pam visited some of the properties destroyed by the Hoodlums who hijacked the Peaceful #Endsars protest in my State.

Some of the Local Government Councils in Jos, institutions and the residence of the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, RT. Hon. Yakubu Dogara was completely looted and vandalised in the name of searching for palliatives.
At the Riyom Local Council secretariat, I was conducted round the complex by the Management Committee Chairman,Hon.Mefeng Gwallson.

I was shocked by the level of destruction perpetuated by the hoodlums. It is unspeakable. These properties belong to our children, children.
The situation was a trying time for the people of the Local Government and the entire state.
Am calling on the youths to put an end to such senseless and wanton destruction of Government properties which also belong to them.
The actions of the hoodlums is a borrowed culture which is alien to the Plateau people.
I thank the traditional rulers for intervening in the matter which led to the recovery of some of the looted properties.

I also went to the Jos South Local Government Council and the  vandalised institutions such as the Plateau State Road Maintenance Agency, office, NEMA as well as Plateau Rural Water Sanitation Agency.

The Management Committee Chairman of the Jos South Local Government Council, Hon Da Chun Choji conducted me round the affected areas, some official files were also carted away from the Local Government Council Secretariat.
At the residence of the former Speaker of the House of Representatives in Jos, RT.Hon.Yakubu Dogora, I was really shocked with the level of destruction and looting carried out in the house.
I condemned this ugly act, it is a very bad development and a setback for the State.

The devil had taken over the heart of the disgruntled protesters. What i saw at RT. Hon. Yakubu  Dogora’s residence is  an act of the devil. I urge the former Speaker to know that the people of Plateau State love him so much.
Peace is very essential and we will make sure that Plateau State experience peace as it used  to be as the Home of Peace and Tourism.
