Covid-19: FG to reduce fatalities by strengthening capacity – Health Minister

The Minister said that the ministry plans to increase its capacity to battle the disease through personnel supervision. The Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) has announced plans to reduce case fatalities of the Covid-19 pandemic by focusing on improving the capability to manage the virus. This was  disclosed  by the Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, during the daily Joint National Briefing of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on Covid-19 in Abuja. The Minister said that the ministry plans to increase its capacity to battle the disease through personnel supervision. Frantic CBN allows diaspora remittances to be withdrawn in dollars and sold anywhere including black market The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced the amendment of procedures for receipt of diaspora remittances in an apparent and frantic attempt to improve liquidity in the forex market and reduce the disparity between the black market and official I&E window. This disclosure was made in a circular issued by the CBN on Monday, November 30, 2020, to all authorized dealers and the general public and signed by its Director for Trade and Exchange Department, Dr O.S. Nnaji. NAFEST KICK STARTS BEAUTIFUL CULTURAL DISPLAY IN JOS PLATEAU STATE. VICTIM SUPPORT FUND DONATES PALLIATIVES TO PLATEAU STATE  The Victim Support Fund (VSF) has donated palliatives to Plateau State Government. The palliatives were presented to Governor Simon Lalong at the Maxwell Khobe Cantonment warehouse at the Rukuba Barracks Jos. While recieving the items, Governor Lalong expressed appreciation to the Victims Support Fund for reaching out to vulnerable persons in the State through the presentation of the items. He assured that the items will  be distributed to the intended beneficiaries in line with the guidelines set by the donors. LALONG MEETS PLATEAU STUDENT WITH 9 A1 IN WAEC. It was a moment of pride for Governor Simon Lalong and the people of Plateau when he recieved Miss Sylvia Ulan Andrew, a citizen of Plateau State who emerged the best in the recently conducted WAEC examinations as she scored A1 in all the subjects she sat for during the last examinations.  Ulan who is from Bokkos LGA of the State is a student of Premier Academy, Lugbe Abuja. She is said to have a history of record-breaking having emerged overall best at national common entrance examinations which earned her a scholarship by the Shell Petroleum Company.  Governor Lalong congratulated her for the feat and said he was not surprised because of the abundant talents available in the State.
